Ludic is from Latin ludus meaning “play.”
The Center for Ludic Synergy (www.ludism.org) created by Ron Hale-Evans promotes projects proposing game play and game theory as a philospohy and life strategy.
One area in particular promoted by the CLS is the mentat-wiki, a treasure trove of critical thinking, memory and mind techniques.
Ron Hale-Evans is the author of Mind Performance Hacks, one of my favourite mindhacks books containing many interesting and practical techniques for increased effectiveness, productivity and focus.
As a counter-argument, Ludic Fallacy introduced by Nassim Nicholas Taleb in his book The Black Swan cautions the unwary from using game theory and probability a universal predictor of all outcomes without considering all the (in some cases, unpredictable) influencing factors. I particularly like the re-read this book to remind myself of the peril of too much narrow minded logic in problem solving.
